Mississippi High School Softball - Starkville edges Clinton

The Starkville Yellowjackets softball team scored 4 runs and held the visiting Clinton Arrows to 2 in the Yellowjackets league win on Tuesday.

The Yellowjackets now possess a 7-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Tupelo for a 7A Region 2 battle on Wednesday, April 2. Starkville will confront a Golden Wave team coming off a 15-3 non-league win over North Pontotoc (Ecru, MS). The Golden Wave record now stands at 5-8.

With the loss, Clinton moves to 10-11 on the season. The Arrows host Madison Central (Madison, MS) to confront the Jaguars in a 7A Region 2 battle on Thursday, April 3. The Jaguars come into the battle with a record of 5-5. Madison Central lost 8-4 in their recent non-league battle against Kosciusko (Kosciusko, MS)
