The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the Ponchatoula Green Wave (Ponchatoula, LA) and the visiting Covington Lions (Covington, LA), observed Ponchatoula's softball team get by Covington by a tally of 7-0.

The Green Wave (15-10) will now prepare for their bout against Hammond (Hammond, LA). The Tornadoes go into the 5A District 6 bout with a 2-21 record. In their last bout, Hammond was routed by Mandeville (Mandeville, LA), 13-2, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Lions clash with the Mandeville Skippers (Mandeville, LA) in a 5A District 6 bout, on Thursday, April 3. Covington will attempt to advance on its 13-5 season record. The Skippers go into the bout with a 14-5 record after their 13-2 league win over Hammond (Hammond, LA).
