The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the Dayton Bulldogs (Springfield, NJ) and the visiting Cranford Cougars (Cranford, NJ), observed Dayton's softball team get by Cranford by a tally of 8-2.

The Bulldogs (1-0) will now prepare for their bout against Johnson (Clark, NJ). The Crusaders go into the UCC - Watchung bout with a 1-0 record. In their last bout, Johnson tipped Governor Livingston (Berkeley Heights, NJ), 14-3, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Cougars clash with the Scotch Plains-Fanwood Raiders (Scotch Plains, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, April 3. Cranford will attempt to advance on its 0-1 season record. The Raiders go into the bout with a 1-0 record after their 9-1 non-league win over Brearley (Kenilworth, NJ).
