The Pirates now sport a 11-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Oso for a 3A Region IV District 29 outing on Friday, April 4. Mathis will encounter a Bears team coming off a 14-3 league loss to Odem (Odem, TX). The Bears record now stands at 3-17.

With the loss, George West moves to 4-15 on the season. The Longhorns host Taft (Taft, TX) to encounter the Greyhounds in a 3A Region IV District 29 outing on Friday, April 4. The Greyhounds go into the challenge with a record of 14-8. Taft won 15-0 in their recent league challenge against Aransas Pass (Aransas Pass, TX)
