The Marshall Lions softball team scored 4 runs and held the visiting Robinson Maroons to 3 in the Lions non-league win on Tuesday.

The Lions now sport a 7-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Effingham for a non-league battle on Thursday, April 3. Marshall will confront a Hearts team coming off a 8-7 non-league win over Salem (Salem, IL). The Hearts record now stands at 2-1.

With the loss, Robinson moves to 4-3 on the season. The Maroons host Mt. Carmel (Mt. Carmel, IL) to confront the Golden Aces in a non-league battle on Thursday, April 3. The Golden Aces come into the battle with a record of 3-0. Mt. Carmel won 9-7 in their recent non-league battle against Princeton (Princeton, IN)
