North Carolina High School Softball - Sun Valley edges Porter Ridge

April 1, 2025: Indian Trail, NC 28079

In Tuesday's league match, the visiting Sun Valley Spartans softball team scored a tight 8-6 win over the Porter Ridge Pirates.

The Spartans (4-6) will now prepare for their match against Central Academy (Monroe, NC). The Cougars come into the non-league match with a 7-5 record. In their last match, Central Academy nipped Anson (Wadesboro, NC), 10-9, in a league match.

In their next game, the Pirates confront the Lee Park Prep Knights (Monroe, NC) in a non-league match, on Thursday, April 3. Porter Ridge will attempt to better on its 6-8 season record. The Knights come into the match with a 5-4 record after their 10-4 non-league win over Gaston Christian (Gastonia, NC).
