The crowd at Tuesday's non-league bout between the Wayne County War Eagles (Waynesboro, MS) and the visiting West Jones Mustangs (Laurel, MS), observed Wayne County's softball team notch a victory over West Jones by a final score of 10-1.

The War Eagles (6-13) will now prepare for their bout against Meridian (Meridian, MS). The Wildcats go into the non-league bout with a 5-10 record. In their last bout, Meridian was routed by Pearl (Pearl, MS), 7-5, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Mustangs battle the Terry Bulldogs (Terry, MS) in a 6A Region 3 bout, on Thursday, April 3. West Jones will attempt to better on its 2-12 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 7-3 record after their 21-0 non-league win over Murrah (Jackson, MS).
