North Carolina High School Baseball - Crest defeats Burns

The Crest Chargers (Shelby, NC) baseball trounced the host Burns Bulldogs (Lawndale, NC), 9-2 in Wednesday's non-league challenge.

The Chargers now own a 6-3 record. They take the field next when they host Ashbrook for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 2. Crest will clash with a Greenwave squad coming off a 33-0 league loss to Kings Mountain (Kings Mountain, NC). The Greenwave record now stands at 0-4.

The Bulldogs (5-3) will now prepare for their bout against Cherryville (Cherryville, NC). The Ironmen enter the non-league bout with a 5-1 record. In their last bout, Cherryville edged East Gaston (Mt. Holly, NC), 16-2, in a non-league bout.
