Monday, April 10, 2023 – The La Salle Cardinals opened division play today with a triumphant knockout five inning victory over Cristo Rey Brooklyn on Randall’s Island. The Cardinals (1-4, 1-0) batted around in the first and second innings, scoring 15 runs and never looking back as they secured their first win of the season.
Freshman, Kerick Tejada, went 3 for 4 at the plate and pitched 2 2/3 innings in relief of starter Eamon Moogan to earn the Angry Bird Player of the Game.
On Deck: La Salle is back in action on Tuesday against Bishop Loughlin. The game will be held on Randall’s Island, Field #48, first pitch at 4:00pm.
