Spectators at Monday's league battle between the Hazleton Area Cougars (Hazleton, PA) and the host Tunkhannock Tigers (Tunkhannock, PA), saw Hazleton Area's baseball squad knock off Tunkhannock by a count of 13-6.

Coming up next, the Cougars play the Pittston Patriots (Pittston, PA) in a Wyoming Valley 1 battle, on Wednesday, April 12. Hazleton Area will attempt to move on its 4-1 season record. The Patriots enter the battle with a 7-0 record after their 6-5 league win over Crestwood (Mountain Top, PA).
