In Monday's league game, the host Martha's Vineyard Regional Vineyarders baseball team scored a tight 8-3 victory over the Monomoy Sharks.
The Vineyarders (2-1) will now prepare for their game against Barnstable (Hyannis, MA). The Red Hawks go into the non-league game with a 2-1 record. In their last game, Barnstable tipped Lexington (Lexington, MA), 7-4, in a non-league game.
The Sharks (1-3) will now prepare for their game against St. John Paul II (Hyannis, MA). The Lions go into the Cape & Islands game with a 0-2 record. In their last game, St. John Paul II was overwhelmed by Martha's Vineyard Regional (Oak Bluffs, MA), 9-6, in a league game.
