In Monday's league game, the host Sam Houston Broncos baseball team scored a tight 5-0 victory over the New Iberia Yellowjackets.
The Broncos (26-2) will now prepare for their game against Sulphur (Sulphur, LA). The Golden Tors go into the 5A District 3 game with a 25-4 record. In their last game, Sulphur was overwhelmed by Barbe (Lake Charles, LA), 8-3, in a league game.
The Yellowjackets (6-16) will now prepare for their game against Comeaux (Lafayette, LA). The Spartans go into the 5A District 3 game with a 13-16 record. In their last game, Comeaux was overwhelmed by Southside (Youngsville, LA), 5-3, in a league game.
