Smoky Mountain Mustangs (Sylva, NC) supporters were pleased Monday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting East Henderson Eagles (East Flat Rock, NC), 2-1 in a league challenge.

Next, the Mustangs confront the Pisgah Bears (Canton, NC) in a Mountain Seven 3A challenge, on Monday, April 17. Smoky Mountain will attempt to move on its 4-6 season record. The Bears enter the challenge with a 5-7 record after their 3-2 league loss to North Henderson (Hendersonville, NC).

The Eagles now possess a 1-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hendersonville for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 14. East Henderson will confront a Bearcats team coming off a 3-1 league win over R-S Central (Rutherfordton, NC). The Bearcats record now stands at 8-3.
