Larkin Royals (Elgin, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Aurora East Tomcats (Aurora, IL), 22-0 in a league challenge.

The Royals now own a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they host West Chicago for a Upstate Eight challenge on Tuesday, April 11. Larkin will battle a Wildcats squad coming off a 12-10 non-league loss to Blackman (Murfreesboro, TN). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-6.

With the loss, Aurora East falls to 0-4 on the campaign. The Tomcats travel to Streamwood (Streamwood, IL) to battle the Sabres in a Upstate Eight challenge on Thursday, April 13. The Sabres enter the challenge with a record of 1-3. Streamwood lost 15-0 in their recent league challenge against Glenbard South (Glen Ellyn, IL)
