West Point Dragons (Avondale, AZ) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Cesar Chavez Champions (Laveen, AZ), 19-4 in a league challenge.

The Dragons now own a 8-12 record. They take the field next when they host Cesar Chavez for a 6A West Valley challenge on Wednesday, April 12. West Point will battle a Champions squad coming off a 13-4 non-league win over Browne (Phoenix, AZ). The Champions record now stands at 8-12.

With the loss, Cesar Chavez falls to 7-12 on the campaign. The Champions travel to Browne (Phoenix, AZ) to battle the Bruins in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 11. The Bruins enter the challenge with a record of 5-8. Browne won 15-0 in their recent league challenge against Alhambra (Phoenix, AZ)
