Cookeville Cavaliers (Cookeville, TN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Upperman Bees (Baxter, TN), 8-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Cavaliers now own a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Wilson Central for a 4A District 9 challenge on Tuesday, April 11.

With the loss, Upperman falls to 5-4 on the campaign. The Bees host White County (Sparta, TN) to battle the Warriors in a 3A District 7 challenge on Tuesday, April 11. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 3-7. White County lost 15-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Coffee County Central (Manchester, TN)
