Copper Basin Cougars (Copperhill, TN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Lenoir City Panthers (Lenoir City, TN), 12-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Cougars now own a 5-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lookout Valley for a 1A District 5 challenge on Tuesday, April 11. Copper Basin will battle a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 11-1 non-league loss to Hixson (Hixson, TN). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 5-7.

With the loss, Lenoir City falls to 4-11 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to King's Academy (Seymour, TN) to battle the Lions in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 11. The Lions enter the challenge with a record of 3-7. King's Academy won 16-9 in their recent league challenge against First Baptist Academy (Powell, TN)
