New Waverly Bulldogs (New Waverly, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Crockett Bulldogs (Crockett, TX), 14-1 in a league challenge.

The Bulldogs now own a 8-8 record. They take the field next when they host Tarkington for a 3A Region III District 23 challenge on Tuesday, April 11. New Waverly will battle a Longhorns squad coming off a 15-0 league win over Onalaska (Onalaska, TX). The Longhorns record now stands at 11-15.

With the loss, Crockett falls to 2-10 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Shepherd (Shepherd, TX) to battle the Pirates in a 3A Region III District 23 challenge on Tuesday, April 11. The Pirates enter the challenge with a record of 11-4. Shepherd won 5-0 in their recent league challenge against Anderson-Shiro (Anderson, TX)
