East Providence Townies (East Providence, RI) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Moses Brown Quakers (Providence, RI), 11-0 in a league challenge.

The Townies now sport a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they host Barrington for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 12. East Providence will face a Eagles squad coming off a 13-1 non-league loss to St. Raphael Academy (Pawtucket, RI). The Eagles record now stands at 1-1.

With the loss, Moses Brown falls to 0-4 on the campaign. The Quakers host Chariho (Wood River Junction, RI) to face the Chargers in a Division 1B (State) challenge on Monday, April 17. The Chargers enter the challenge with a record of 2-3. Chariho lost 11-0 in their recent league challenge against Pilgrim (Warwick, RI)
