Hammond Tornadoes (Hammond, LA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Independence Tigers (Independence, LA), 18-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Tornadoes now own a 3-12 record. They take the field next when they travel to Springfield for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 11. Hammond will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 14-4 non-league loss to Albany (Albany, LA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 8-11.

With the loss, Independence falls to 2-9 on the campaign. The Tigers host Livonia (Livonia, LA) to battle the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 12. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 15-9.
