Holmes Bulldogs (Covington, KY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the host St. Henry Crusaders (Erlanger, KY), 23-11 in a non-league challenge.

The Bulldogs now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Calvary Christian for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 11. Holmes will battle a Cougars squad coming off a 16-0 non-league win over Newport (Newport, KY). The Cougars record now stands at 4-2.

With the loss, St. Henry falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Crusaders host Newport Central Catholic (Newport, KY) to battle the Thoroughbreds in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 11. The Thoroughbreds enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
