Ohio High School Softball - Martins Ferry bounces Union Local

The Martins Ferry Purple Riders routed the visiting Union Local Jets softball squad by a count of 12-1 in Monday's league battle.

The Purple Riders (6-0) will now prepare for their battle against Linsly (Wheeling, WV). The Cadets go into the non-league battle with a 4-3 record. In their last battle, Linsly topped Caldwell (Caldwell, OH), 3-0, in a league battle.

The Jets now sport a 2-6 record. They play next when they host Buckeye Local for a non-league battle on Tuesday, April 11. Union Local will meet a Panthers squad coming off a 12-0 league loss to River (Hannibal, OH). The Panthers record now stands at 0-9.
