Mid Valley Spartans (Throop, PA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Western Wayne Wildcats (Lake Ariel, PA), 14-0 in a league challenge.

The Spartans now own a 6-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lakeland for a Lackawanna 3 challenge on Wednesday, April 12. Mid Valley will battle a Chiefs squad coming off a 1-0 league loss to Dunmore (Dunmore, PA). The Chiefs record now stands at 0-2.

With the loss, Western Wayne falls to 0-4 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Holy Cross (Dunmore, PA) to battle the Crusaders in a Lackawanna 3 match on Wednesday, April 12. The Crusaders go into the match with a record of 3-1. Holy Cross won 6-5 in their recent league match against Old Forge (Old Forge, PA)
