Mineral Point Pointers (Mineral Point, WI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Southwestern Wildcats (Hazel Green, WI), 18-3 in a league challenge.

The Pointers now own a 4-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Boscobel for a Southwest Wisconsin Activities challenge on Thursday, April 13. Mineral Point will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 9-3 league win over Darlington (Darlington, WI). The Bulldogs record now stands at 3-4.

With the loss, Southwestern falls to 5-3 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Fennimore (Fennimore, WI) to battle the Golden Eagles in a Southwest Wisconsin Activities challenge on Thursday, April 13. The Golden Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 2-2. Fennimore won 12-3 in their recent league challenge against Riverdale (Muscoda, WI)
