In Monday's league contest, the St. Laurence Vikings (Burbank, IL) softball team held off the host Providence Catholic Celtics (New Lenox, IL), by a margin of 3-2.

With the triumph, St. Laurence moves its record to 6-1 on the year. The Vikings travel to Loyola Academy (Wilmette, IL) to play the Ramblers in a GCAC- Red contest on Tuesday, April 11. The Ramblers come into the contest with a record of 4-4.

In their next game, the Celtics play the Fenwick Friars (Oak Park, IL) in a GCAC- Red contest, on Tuesday, April 11. Providence Catholic will attempt to improve on its 5-5 season record. The Friars come into the game with a 6-2 record after their 5-1 league loss to Montini Catholic (Lombard, IL).
