The Kearney Bearcats baseball team scored 7 runs and limited the host Fremont Tigers to 1 in the Bearcats league victory on Wednesday.
The Bearcats (10-7) will now prepare for their match against Lincoln East (Lincoln, NE). The Spartans go into the non-league match with a 14-1 record. In their last match, Lincoln East edged Lincoln North Star (Lincoln, NE), 7-6, in a league match.
The Tigers (4-4) will now prepare for their match against Lincoln Southwest (Lincoln, NE). The Silver Hawks go into the non-league match with a 11-3 record. In their last match, Lincoln Southwest was overwhelmed by Grand Island (Grand Island, NE), 6-2, in a non-league match.
