Alhambra Lions (Phoenix, AZ) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Browne Bruins (Phoenix, AZ), 14-9 in a league challenge.

The Lions now own a 2-2 record.

With the loss, Browne falls to 3-5 on the campaign. The Bruins host Fairfax (Laveen, AZ) to battle the Stampede in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 17. The Stampede enter the challenge with a record of 1-0.
