The James Monroe Yellow Jackets lacrosse team scored 22 points and held the visiting Orange County Fighting Hornets to 3 in the Yellow Jackets non-league win on Wednesday.
The Yellow Jackets (6-0) will now prepare for their match against Brentsville District (Nokesville, VA). The Tigers go into the non-league match with a 3-1 record. In their last match, Brentsville District was overwhelmed by Kettle Run (Nokesville, VA), 21-1, in a league match.
The Fighting Hornets (0-4) will now prepare for their match against Fluvanna County (Palmyra, VA). The Flying Flucos go into the Jefferson match with a 1-5 record. In their last match, Fluvanna County was overwhelmed by Glass (Lynchburg, VA), 17-3, in a non-league match.
