Next, the Pioneers face the Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC) in a Northwestern 3A/4A contest, on Friday, April 12. Watauga will attempt to better on its 8-1 season record. The Cougars enter the contest with a 4-3 record after their 1-0 league win over Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC).

The Spartans now have a 4-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Freedom for a Northwestern 3A/4A contest on Friday, April 12. South Caldwell will face a Patriots team coming off a 9-0 league loss to Hibriten (Lenoir, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 5-5.
