Columbia River Rapids (Vancouver, WA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Mark Morris Monarchs (Longview, WA), 16-10 in a non-league challenge.

The Rapids now sport a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Hockinson for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 11. Columbia River will face a Hawks squad coming off a 15-0 non-league loss to Ridgefield (Ridgefield, WA). The Hawks record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, Mark Morris falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Monarchs travel to Woodland (Woodland, WA) to face the Beavers in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 12. The Beavers enter the challenge with a record of 2-0. Woodland won 24-8 in their recent non-league challenge against R.A. Long (Longview, WA)
