Dan River Wildcats (Ringgold, VA) fans were thrilled Wednesday as they observed their soccer team prevail over the host Martinsville Bulldogs (Martinsville, VA), 5-1 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Wildcats face the Nelson County Governors (Lovingston, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, April 12. Dan River will attempt to better on its 1-2 season record. The Governors enter the challenge with a 6-0 record after their 6-2 non-league win over Alleghany (Covington, VA).
The Bulldogs now have a 0-5 record. They take the field next when they host Halifax County for a Piedmont challenge on Monday, April 15. Martinsville will face a Comets team coming off a 5-0 league win over George Washington (Danville, VA). The Comets record now stands at 3-4.
