John Marshall Monarchs (Glen Dale, WV) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Brooke Bruins (Wellsburg, WV), 8-0 in a league challenge.

The Monarchs now own a 12-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Morgantown for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 11. John Marshall will face a Mohigans squad coming off a 4-1 league win over Wheeling Park (Wheeling, WV). The Mohigans record now stands at 5-2.

With the loss, Brooke falls to 0-12 on the campaign. The Bruins host Linsly (Wheeling, WV) to face the Cadets in a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 11. The Cadets enter the challenge with a record of 3-2. Linsly lost 9-8 in their recent non-league challenge against Caldwell (Caldwell, OH)
