Byron Tigers (Byron, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Lutheran Crusaders (Rockford, IL), 13-7 in a league challenge.

The Tigers now own a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they host Stillman Valley for a Big Northern challenge on Thursday, April 11. Byron will face a Cardinals squad coming off a 18-10 league win over Lutheran (Rockford, IL). The Cardinals record now stands at 10-4.

With the loss, Lutheran falls to 1-8 on the campaign. The Crusaders host Winnebago (Winnebago, IL) to face the Indians in a Big Northern challenge on Thursday, April 11. The Indians enter the challenge with a record of 2-3. Winnebago lost 3-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Dakota (Dakota, IL)
