Culpeper County Blue Devils (Culpeper, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting James Monroe Yellow Jackets (Fredericksburg, VA), 9-0 in a league challenge.

The Blue Devils now own a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Eastern View for a Battlefield challenge on Thursday, April 11. Culpeper County will battle a Cyclones squad coming off a 5-2 league win over Spotsylvania (Spotsylvania, VA). The Cyclones record now stands at 8-2.

With the loss, James Monroe falls to 3-3 on the campaign. The Yellow jackets travel to Courtland (Spotsylvania, VA) to battle the Cougars in a Battlefield challenge on Thursday, April 11. The Cougars enter the challenge with a record of 3-2. Courtland won 22-2 in their recent league challenge against Chancellor (Fredericksburg, VA)
