James Island Trojans (Charleston, SC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Lucy Beckham Bengals (Mt. Pleasant, SC), 6-0 in a league challenge.

The Trojans now sport a 8-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bluffton for a AAAA Region 7 challenge on Friday, April 12. James Island will face a Bobcats squad coming off a 13-3 league loss to May River (Bluffton, SC). The Bobcats record now stands at 2-8.

With the loss, Lucy Beckham falls to 5-6 on the campaign. The Bengals travel to Colleton County (Walterboro, SC) to face the Cougars in a AAAA Region 7 challenge on Friday, April 12. The Cougars enter the challenge with a record of 6-3. Colleton County won 18-3 in their recent league challenge against Hilton Head Island (Hilton Head Island, SC)
