Northampton County Jaguars (Gaston, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Rocky Mount Prep Jaguars (Rocky Mount, NC), 22-7 in a league challenge.

The Jaguars now own a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they host Northwest Halifax for a Tar Roanoke 1A challenge on Thursday, April 11. Northampton County will battle a Vikings squad coming off a 1-0 league loss to Weldon (Weldon, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, Rocky Mount Prep falls to 2-4 on the campaign. The Jaguars travel to Tarboro (Tarboro, NC) to battle the Vikings in a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 11. The Vikings enter the challenge with a record of 0-9. Tarboro lost 19-0 in their recent league challenge against Perquimans (Hertford, NC)
