Northwestern Regional Highlanders (Winsted, CT) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Terryville Kangaroos (Terryville, CT), 19-4 in a league challenge.

The Highlanders now sport a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Nonnewaug for a Berkshire challenge on Friday, April 12. Northwestern Regional will face a Chiefs squad coming off a 18-3 league loss to Thomaston (Thomaston, CT). The Chiefs record now stands at 1-4.

With the loss, Terryville falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Kangaroos host Housatonic-Wamogo (Falls Village, CT) to face the Mountaineers in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 12. The Mountaineers enter the challenge with a record of 2-1. Housatonic-Wamogo won 20-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Gilbert (Winsted, CT)
