Walkersville Lions (Walkersville, MD) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Williamsport Wildcats (Williamsport, MD), 9-2 in a league challenge.

The Lions now own a 8-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Tuscarora for a CMC challenge on Friday, April 12. Walkersville will battle a Titans squad coming off a 17-5 league win over North Hagerstown (Hagerstown, MD). The Titans record now stands at 2-4.

With the loss, Williamsport falls to 3-5 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Middletown (Middletown, MD) to battle the Knights in a CMC challenge on Thursday, April 11. The Knights enter the challenge with a record of 3-1.
