West Stokes Wildcats (King, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Walkertown Wolfpack (Walkertown, NC), 10-2 in a league challenge.

The Wildcats now own a 12-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to East Surry for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 12. West Stokes will battle a Cardinals squad coming off a 4-3 league loss to Forbush (East Bend, NC). The Cardinals record now stands at 4-8.

With the loss, Walkertown falls to 7-5 on the campaign. The Wolfpack host Reidsville (Reidsville, NC) to battle the Rams in a Mid-State 2A challenge on Friday, April 12. The Rams enter the challenge with a record of 1-4. Reidsville lost 22-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Rockingham County (Wentworth, NC)
