The Humboldt Cubs baseball team scored 17 runs and held the host Fredonia Yellowjackets to 0 in the Cubs league win on Thursday.

The Cubs now hold a 8-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Eureka for a Tri-Valley test on Tuesday, April 15. Humboldt will play a Tornadoes team coming off a 12-2 non-league loss to Flinthills (Rosalia, KS). The Tornadoes record now stands at 0-6.

With the defeat, Fredonia drops to 1-7 on the year. The Yellowjackets host Cherryvale (Cherryvale, KS) to play the Chargers in a Tri-Valley test on Tuesday, April 22. The Chargers go into the test with a record of 0-8.
