In Thursday's league game, the visiting Kirtland Central Broncos baseball team scored a close 5-2 win over the Gallup Bengals.
The Broncos (9-11) will now prepare for their game against Aztec (Aztec, NM). The Tigers go into the 4A District 1 game with a 7-12 record. In their last game, Aztec by Miyamura (Gallup, NM), 9-7, in a league game.
Next, the Bengals play the Shiprock Chieftains (Shiprock, NM) in a 4A District 1 game, on Saturday, April 12. Gallup will attempt to improve on its 3-13 season record. The Chieftains go into the game with a 7-10 record after their 25-0 league loss to Bloomfield (Bloomfield, NM).
