West Brunswick Trojans (Shallotte, NC) followers left the game satisfied Thursday as they observed their baseball squad nip the visiting Hoggard Vikings (Wilmington, NC), 3-2 in a league challenge.

The Trojans now own a 5-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Brunswick for a Mideastern 3A/4A challenge on Tuesday, April 15. West Brunswick will clash with a Scorpions team coming off a 9-8 league loss to Topsail (Hampstead, NC). The Scorpions record now stands at 7-9.

With the defeat, Hoggard drops to 5-12 on the year. The Vikings host Grimsley (Greensboro, NC) to clash with the Whirlies in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 14. The Whirlies go into the challenge with a record of 14-4. Grimsley won 8-0 in their recent league challenge against Page (Greensboro, NC)
