Fans at Thursday's league test between the Topsail Pirates (Hampstead, NC) and the visiting Ashley Screaming Eagle (Wilmington, NC), witnessed Topsail's lacrosse squad achieve victory over Ashley by a count of 13-8.

The Pirates (11-0) will now prepare for their test against South Brunswick (Southport, NC). The Cougars enter the Mideastern test with a 6-6 record. In their last test, South Brunswick nipped Cape Fear Academy (Wilmington, NC), 12-10, in a non-league outing.

With the loss, Ashley falls to 4-6 on the year. The Screaming eagle travel to Croatan (Newport, NC) to face the Cougars in a non-league outing on Tuesday, April 15. The Cougars go into the outing with a record of 7-7. Croatan won 10-7 in their recent league outing against Swansboro (Swansboro, NC)
