The Gryphons now hold a 6-5 record. They play next when they travel to Bessemer City for a Southern Piedmont 1A/2A challenge on Thursday, April 17.

With the loss, Burns moves to 6-8 on the year. The Bulldogs travel to Shelby (Shelby, NC) to encounter the Golden Lions in a Southern Piedmont 1A/2A challenge on Tuesday, April 22. The Golden Lions go into the challenge with a record of 15-0. Shelby won 2-0 in their recent league challenge against Highland Tech (Gastonia, NC)
