In Thursday's league test, the Topsail Pirates (Hampstead, NC) lacrosse team edged the visiting Ashley Screaming Eagle (Wilmington, NC), by a count of 10-9.
Next up, the Pirates battle the South Brunswick Cougars (Southport, NC) in a Mideastern test, on Tuesday, April 15. Topsail will attempt to move on its 7-4 season record.
The Screaming Eagle (5-7) will now prepare for their test against Willow Spring (Fuquay-Varina, NC). The Storm enter the non-league test with a 7-5 record. In their last test, Willow Spring got by Clayton (Clayton, NC), 8-7, in a league test.
