In Thursday's league outing, the host Cairo Syrupmakers soccer squad scored a tight 4-1 victory over the Dougherty Trojans.

The Syrupmakers (10-3) will now prepare for their outing against LaGrange (LaGrange, GA). The Grangers go into the non-league outing with a 10-5 record. In their last outing, LaGrange got by Harris County (Hamilton, GA), 5-2, in a non-league outing.

Next up, the Trojans play the Bainbridge Bearcats (Bainbridge, GA) in a 3A Area 1 outing, on Tuesday, April 15. Dougherty will attempt to improve on its 2-13 season record. The Bearcats go into the outing with a 10-3 record after their 6-1 league win over Peach County (Fort Valley, GA).
