In Thursday's league test, the Avon Eagles (Avon, OH) softball squad overwhelmed the host Avon Lake Shoremen (Avon Lake, OH), by a tally of 13-3.
Next, the Eagles clash with the North Rangers (Eastlake, OH) in a non-league test, on Saturday, April 12. Avon will attempt to advance on its 5-3 season record. The Rangers go into the test with a 4-4 record after their 1-0 league win over Chardon (Chardon, OH).
The Shoremen (2-6) will now prepare for their test against Walsh Jesuit (Cuyahoga Falls, OH). The Warriors go into the non-league test with a 7-0 record. In their last test, Walsh Jesuit prevailed over Mentor (Mentor, OH), 9-4, in a non-league test.
