The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the Booneville Blue Devils (Booneville, MS) and the visiting Belmont Cardinals (Belmont, MS), observed Booneville's softball team notch a victory over Belmont by a final score of 14-0.

The Blue Devils (17-2) will now prepare for their bout against Alcorn Central (Glen, MS). The Bears go into the 3A Region 1 bout with a 13-10 record. In their last bout, Alcorn Central gained a win over New Albany (New Albany, MS), 14-2, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Cardinals battle the Biggersville Lions (Corinth, MS) in a non-league bout, on Friday, April 11. Belmont will attempt to better on its 7-10 season record. The Lions go into the bout with a 8-10 record after their 11-2 league win over Baldwyn (Baldwyn, MS).
