The Highland Rebels edged the host Blytheville Chickasaws softball squad by a count of 1-0 in Thursday's league challenge.

Next, the Rebels meet the Pocahontas Redskins (Pocahontas, AR) in a 4A Region 3 challenge, on Tuesday, April 15. Highland will attempt to upgrade on its 4-12 season record. The Redskins enter the challenge with a 6-6 record after their 7-1 league loss to Westside (Jonesboro, AR).

The Chickasaws (0-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Bay (Bay, AR). The Yellowjackets enter the non-league challenge with a 2-9 record. In their last challenge, Bay was nudged by Cross County (Cherry Valley, AR), 16-1, in a league challenge.
