In Thursday's league match, the visiting Mary Star of the Sea Stars softball team scored a tight 4-3 victory over the Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary Cardinals.

The Stars (2-7) will now prepare for their match against St. Monica (Santa Monica, CA). The Mariners go into the Camino Real match with a 9-7 record. In their last match, St. Monica tipped Ramona Convent (Alhambra, CA), 3-2, in a league match.

In their next game, the Cardinals battle the Bishop Montgomery Knights (Torrance, CA) in a Camino Real match, on Tuesday, April 15. Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary will attempt to better on its 6-8 season record. The Knights go into the match with a 11-5 record after their 23-0 league win over Serra (Gardena, CA).
